This July my friend Izzy, a couple of her friends from college, and I did a spur of the moment trip to Mexico. You will learn that I am down for literally whatever and make impulsive decisions but like sorry I like to have fun and we only live once so why not right? If you’re totally not like that it’s okay… it drives my parents insane so I understand lol.
Anyways we stayed for a week and it was honestly the time of my life! I freaking won the girl push up contest at Mango Deck (eff all the people that didn’t vote for me, I hate you) but whatever, I got free bottle service so I ain’t that mad!
I totally ripped my romper the first night there… and it wasn’t like a cute rip that could go unnoticed. It was a split from my ass to hoo-ha and I wasn’t wearing any underwear… lol. Unfortunately we were already out and the walk back to the house was 20 min so I just had to suck it up. Honestly I should’ve won a freaking prize for hiding my huge split but don’t you worry I didn’t let it ruin my night, I still danced all night long!
If you’re planning to go to Cabo I suggest getting a house or doing an all inclusive resort. Trust me it is worth spending the money especially when you don’t know the area all that well. The two all inclusive resorts that I suggest are The Grand Solmar Lands End Resort & Spa or the Hotel Rui Palace both of those places are amazing. The Rui is more for college and young adults, so if you’re looking for a party atmosphere that is the place to book.
Now to the must to places to go in Cabo…Hands down my FAVORITE spot is The Office. I’m telling you, you’re either getting carried or dragged out of that place. The margs had me speaking Spanish that I didn’t even know I knew. Like WOW yes! Plus it is right on you beach so you get to see all the funny “I eat ass” and “Butt muncher” hats so it’s always a good time. Another top place that is on the beach is Mango Deck. It’s seriously always a party over there with some kinda competition going on. My personal favorite is the male dancing competition because some of the dudes try to go all Magic Mike and I’m here for it.
When it comes to Cabo’s night scene you absolutely have to go to Cabo Wabo, El Squid Roe and Mandala Los Cabos. It seriously gets crazy.. I’m not kidding when I say anything goes … I mean anything goes haha I’ve seen some weird shit. The top of my list is El Squid Roe because they have cages and I mean they have cages… need I say more??? All around Cabo is just amazing and beautiful. I’m telling you if you haven’t been you need to put it on your list. You will not be disappointed. 🙂
If you are planning a trip to Cabo or anywhere really, my bff Madison is a Travel Agent and would love to help you. For further inquiries, email firstname.lastname@example.org
okay… so I’m gonna be unapologetically me on my blog and I’m not gonna be sorry about it because I like who I am. I want you guys to get to know everything about me if you don’t know me personally.
I am a girly girl with a sailors mouth (sorry mom I know you hate it ), and I’m also a HUGE tomboy. My sense of humor is one that correlates with a 15 year old boy… so yes it’s dirty lol.
I do what I want and if you try to tell me what to do, I’m going to do the opposite out of spite. It’s the Taurus in me. (Side note… Sorry I’m extremely A.D.D. Anyways no I’m not into astrology but my friends are and they tell me I’m the way I am because I’m a Taurus so there’s that. I will admit a bitch is loyal! So that’s cool.)
Back to what I was talking about. I just want to be real with y’all, speak what’s on my mind, and let you into my world! So welcome, I hope you enjoy what’s gonna be a crazy ride and if you don’t well I don’t really give a damn:)

I want to start off by saying that I can not speak for every Coach’s Daughter out there. These are my personal thoughts, experiences, and emotions about having a father who happens to be a Major League Baseball Manager. Get ready for the honest truth about my crazy, beautiful life.
Since I was born my Dad has always coached professional baseball, therefore I never really understood the sacrifices that my family made until I was older. Being so young I didn’t realize what was going on, I just thought my Dad was going on vacation and we would go visit him when we could. I was under the impression that this was how everyone’s families were but boy was I wrong….
All of my life our family has been centered around baseball. From the white sandy beaches of Bradenton, Fl to the Steel City in Pennsylvania and many cities in between, I grew up on a baseball field and many milestones were met along the way! For instance, I learned how to walk during spring training at a Day’s Inn in Bradenton, learned how to swim at our apartment complex in Zebulon NC! (Sorry mom and dad for throwing myself in without floaties) Growing up in a baseball family meant visiting my Dad during spring break and then spending summer with him in whichever city he landed. One thing that has always remained constant was our family core and the idea that home was wherever Dad was.
Looking back at some of my summers and spring breaks when I was older, there were definitely times that it was hard being away from my friends for an extended amount of time. They understood that it was difficult especially in high-school. Realizing this, my parents, being the amazing parents that they are, made sure that I never felt “alone”. I was able to bring my friends to spring training and fly back to Texas over the summer to see them. I have memories that I will cherish forever because of all the adventures I was able to embark on.
Yes having my Dad be a coach for an MLB team is fun, exciting and I couldn’t imagine my life any other way but that doesn’t mean it is all glamorous. A lot of people are under the impression that when my Dad was with the Pirates we lived in Pittsburgh… however that is not the case. Our family was located In League City, Texas; meaning my dad would only be home October through February and then he was off to spring training. If you ever wonder why my Dad always talks about how much the players and coaches families sacrifice in order for their husbands and Dads to be able to do what they love? Well this is why… My Mom was basically like a single mom when baseball season started. She managed to work, take care of Jacob and I, all while making sure we were never late or missed a single sporting practice or game. She seriously is the most amazing Mom in the world and now that I am older I can look back and see everything she did. The amount of respect I have for her is something I cannot put in words. She truly is the glue that holds our family together even if she never will accept that title. She is the woman I strive to be like….. I love you momma.
There have been milestones in my life that my Dad has been there for and some he hasn’t been able to be apart of. He didn’t get to see me off to prom, play my first collegiate game and there have been many missed birthdays along the way. I’m not telling you these things for you to feel bad for me but rather to give you the raw reality of how this baseball life has been. I’m not a girl who shows her emotions so from the outside looking in; I appear to be just fine. See I never wanted my Dad to feel bad because I know how much it killed him to not be there. I’ve never resented him for the times he missed because I know he would be there if at all possible and believe me, there have been times where he has made the impossible work out! I’ve learned to allow those moments outweigh the others. Not having my Dad home 24/7 has made me treasure the times we did and do have together. I will never take them for granted.
Fast forward to the present, my dad is the 18th Manager for the Texas Rangers. He led the team to back-to-back division West titles in his first two years and in 2015 was named American League Manager Of The Year. Along with all of these achievements came the criticism and hateful things being said about him. I know the saying “sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me” yeah, that’s a bunch of Bull. For all of you that are reading this and have said rude things about my Dad, please really think about what you’re saying before you post it on Twitter, Facebook, etc. Ask yourself how you would feel if someone said that about your Father, friend, or someone you look up to? The truth is you do not know my Dad personally, you don’t know how passionate he is about the game and his players or how much respect he has for the game. You don’t know what kind of man he is. My dad is a loyal, hardworking man who dedicates everything to come up with a gameplan to win every night and wears his emotions on his sleeve. He run’s a Godly household and puts everyone’s needs before his own. He shows me how a man should treat their wife and how a father should be towards their children. My Dad is my Hero and he has been through hell and back to get to where he is today. Remember these things before you bash him or any other player, coach or GM for that matter. Also remember it’s easy to say cruel and hateful things while hiding behind a screen.
Lastly I would like to thank my Dad’s Job, My life definitely would not be the same without it. I have been blessed with the privilege of getting to know some truly amazing people in this world who have touched my heart forever. Having the opportunity to be apart of foundations like Make-A-Wish, Miracle League, Going To Bat Against Bullying and many more truly have made me appreciate all that life has to offer. These foundations have opened my eyes to a whole new world and filled so much love in my heart. To the wives, fiancé and girlfriends of the Pittsburgh Pirates and Texas Rangers Organization, thank you for always including me and making me feel like family. It brings me abundance of joy seeing your life grow, change and expanded. I pray that God continues to bless and watch over all of you, we all understand the reality of this crazy baseball world we live in and realize it is not forever and in a blink of an eye everything can change. To Jon Daniels, Thad Levine, Josh Boyd, Mike Daly and Ownership, thank you for taking a chance on my Dad and letting his dreams come true. There will never be enough words to express what you guys mean to our family. To all the fellow Coaches children……. I feel ya!
